This is an amazing, easy to make party dip. If you like onions, you definitely should not skip this one. In 50 minutes you will be ready to dig in.
Ingredients for 8 servings
- 225 grams of cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 3 scallions
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Using a hand mixer, blend the cream cheese and the sour cream until well mixed.
Take a medium skillet and heat the oil in it. Add the chopped onion, season it with salt, add pepper, and cook. It should take around 8 minutes to cook, while you need to stir occasionally. Be careful not to brown it. Once done, let it cool completely.
Now that the onion is cool, pour in the cheese-sour cream mixture and the chopped scallions. Give it a good stir and put it, covered, in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. This will help the flavors blend.
Note: This dip is great with carrots and french fries. You can prepare the dip 2 days ahead.
Greek yogurt is one of the most valuable ingredients. It has many health benefits and tastes amazing. It also is the main ingredient for tzatziki, a dip that everyone has to try. The best part is that you only need 15 minutes to make it.
Ingredients for 4 portions
- 300 grams of strained Greek yogurt
- 1 cucumber
- 1/3 clove of garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp of white wine vinegar
- A pinch of salt
- pepper to taste
First, peel the cucumber. Take a big bowl and a cheese grater, start grating the cucumber using the large blades.
Now, add a pinch of salt and 1 tbsp of the vinegar. Mix well and set aside. By doing so, we let the cucumber release its liquids. We do not want our tzatziki to be watery.
While the cucumber does its job, grab another bowl and mix in the yogurt, the garlic, the rest of the vinegar, and the olive oil. Mix until everything is combined.
Afterward, squeeze the cucumber with your hands in order to remove excess liquid; you can toss the liquid. Mix the cucumber to the yogurt mixture.
Once again, stir it well and add pepper. Taste the mixture and adjust the seasoning if needed. Refrigerate and enjoy.
Note: This dip goes well with carrots, meat, and pita bread.

Healthy, refreshing, spicy. Those are only a few of the words that can actually describe the amazing guacamole. This recipe is for 8 servings and only takes 10 minutes to prepare.
- 3 ripe avocados
- 6 ripe cherry tomatoes
- 2 red chilies (can use 1 if too spicy for you)
- 1/2 red onion (small)
- 1 bunch of coriander
- 1 lime
- Extra virgin olive oil
Start by peeling and chopping the onion. Now, remove the seeds from 1 chili and chop it as you did with the onion.
Next, remove the pits from the avocados and scoop the flesh, with a spoon, onto the chopping board.
Then, chop everything together until finely chopped. You will see that everything is well combined once you do that.
Continue by chopping some coriander leaves and the tomatoes. Add the to the mix, by chopping everything together once more.
Extract the juice of the lime and add it in the mixture, along with 1 tbsp of oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
If you want it spicier then de-seed the second chili, finely chop it and sprinkle it on top.
Note: This dip goes well with veggies and meat. Also, if you want you can add more lime juice for a more acidic taste.
